Meet Ivanov, an oddball trying to survive the totalitarian society of the Soviet Union in the '70s. He has something in his head you don't: an orchestra! Ivanov may be a nut, but his cellmate in the asylum is anything but; he's a political dissenter desperate to save his young son. To tell their story, acclaimed playwright Tom Stoppard teamed with noted classical composer Andre Previn, who contributed a spectacularly powerful and lush musical score. To bring this tour-de-force to Philadelphia, the Wilma teams up with The Philadelphia Orchestra, in the first major theatrical production on the Verizon Hall stage at the stunning new Kimmel Center.
