Early Career Programs

The Wilma Theater Internship and Fellowship Programs

Internship Program
The Wilma Theater Internship program enable college students to explore career paths in the administrative side of the arts.  We have Internships available in our Development, Education, Literary, and Marketing Departments.  Because the Wilma functions with a relatively small staff, Interns are valuable additions to our staff, and they are assured of both managing individual assignments and receiving individual attention from the department heads with whom they work.  Typically, Interns make a long-term commitment of at least 12 hours per week for 8 weeks.  Academic credit can be arranged through your academic institution.  At least 1 year of college is required for most Internships.  Positions usually begin in August, January, and June but can be available year-round to accommodate differences in academic schedules. Internships are unpaid positions, and no housing is provided.

Marketing Internship
Assist The Wilma Theater’s Marketing Department in promoting the Wilma’s exciting season!  Projects include target market research and group sales, coordination and execution of direct mail campaigns, updating databases, graphic design, archiving of materials, and ad sales.  Candidates will be available at least 15 hours a week, have strong written, verbal and phone skills and be enthusiastic self-starters.  Strong computer and graphic design skills preferred.  This is an unpaid position but an excellent opportunity to be part of a world-renowned theater while working in a fun and friendly environment.  Please mail or email resume and cover letter to: Aaron Immediato, Marketing Director, The Wilma Theater, 265 S Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA 19107; email:
