Studio School

The Wilma Studio School offers adult theater classes for all experience levels from the curious beginner to the experienced theater artist.  Students of all ages take our Acting Fundamentals classes for a many different reasons. Some may be looking for a fun, creative hobby; others may want to work on their communication skills and becoming more comfortable in their own skin. Experienced playwrights take our Advanced Playwrighting Workshop as a way of providing themselves with structured deadlines and the support of a community of other artists that will cheer them on and give them valuable feedback.  Most professional actors continue to train throughout their careers as a way of expanding their actor’s tool kit and keeping their bodies and voices “in shape” for their next role.

All of our instructors are working theater artists and experienced, committed teachers.  Our average class size is around 8 students so there is no shortage of individual attention.

All students who take a class in our studio school receive a voucher to see a free performance of any one Wilma production in our current season.
