PRODUCTION MANAGER
The Wilma Theater, a Philadelphia LORT C
theater, seeks Production Manager to oversee production process for 4-show
mainstage season, resident dance company, other rentals and events, and
management of theater and housing facilities. See specific responsibilities

Overview
The Production Manager reports jointly to the co-Artistic Directors and
Managing Director and has primary responsibility for the budgeting,
contracting and execution of all aspects of physical production, including
scenery, lights, costumes, props, sound, and multi-media. The Production
Manager also oversees facility budgeting and maintenance.
Specific responsibilities include:

Oversee
scheduling, staffing and budgeting all aspects of show production
ˇ
Oversee, monitor, and
evaluate design process of all shows
ˇ
Work with designers to
creatively solve all technical challenges
ˇ
Realize designs on time and
on budget
ˇ
Create and Manage
Production Department budget, including facilities, and other long term
budgets as necessary
ˇ
Administer payroll for all
shows and events in coordination with the General Manager
ˇ
Manage, monitor, and
approve all production and facilities related expenses
ˇ
Reconcile budget on a
monthly basis with General Manager
ˇ
Supervise production staff
and Facilities Manager
ˇ
Oversee hiring of
technicians for all shows
ˇ
Evaluate and maintain all
theatrical systems including: sound, light, rigging, projection, etc.
ˇ
Conduct ongoing research of
current theater-related technologies
ˇ
Manage all technical
aspects of all in house special events
ˇ
Oversee scheduling of all
use of the theater, lobby, and studio
ˇ
Coordinate all production,
staffing and scheduling needs for facility rentals
ˇ
Oversee maintenance of
theater and artist housing facilities including HVAC, electric, lighting,
plumbing, elevators, fire systems, security, and key systems
ˇ
Lead production meetings
and attend all Board, staff and department heads meetings
ˇ
Serve on the Facilities
Committees of the Board of Directors
ˇ
Develop and maintain
scene shop, and local and national production-related relationships
ˇ
Actively represent the
Wilma and interact with constituents during special events and gatherings
FELLOWSHIPS
The Wilma Theater seeks applicants
for three fellowship positions for the 2008/09 season. Fellowships in
Production, Stage Management, and Education will be awarded to candidates
who have demonstrated significant interest and experience in their chosen
area and who possess a willingness to learn new skills required for the
position. Fellows are employed full-time for the whole season and receive a
$300 weekly stipend plus benefits. To

offer a flexible, creative and educational learning environment. Previous
theater experience is not essential (with the exception of the Production
