Some of his credits include: One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest, Gossamer, Shipwrecked (PLTC), An Empty Plate in the Cafe du Grand Boeuf, Romeo and Juliet, Superior Donuts, and The Whipping Man (Arden Theatre), Grey Gardens, Ruined (PTC), The Threshing Floor (Mauckingbird Theatre Company), and Ponies (Gloucester Stage Company) James received a Barrymore Award for Supporting Actor in a Play for Superior Donuts with the Arden Theatre Company.
