Nell Bang-Jensen is a Philadelphia-based theater artist, writer, and educator. She joined the Wilma’s artistic staff in 2014 after working as a director, actor, and dramaturg for theater companies including Applied Mechanics, Hedgerow Theatre, Luna Theater, Plays & Players, InterAct Theatre Company, The Riot Group, and the Philadelphia Dramatists Center. Nell is an Adjunct Professor at The University of the Arts and a graduate of Swarthmore College. Nell was the Wilma’s Artistic Associate from 2014 until November 2016, when she became Associate Artistic Director of Pig Iron Theatre Company through a Leadership U One-on-One Fellowship, funded by the Andrew W.
Mellon Foundation and administered by Theatre Communications Group.
