Starting with a final bow and incorporating an audience-inspired soundtrack, Lionel Popkin’s new solo, Ahead of Myself, is a comical and discerning look at how we receive criticism.  By questioning how our actions are perceived, Popkin creates a tightly structured, tongue-in-cheek dance that explores the line between self-preservation and external evaluation.
