TOBY TWINING (composer) intrigued by the vast potential of the human voice, has delved into a broad spectrum of musical techniques, including Renaissance madrigals, scat, African yodeling, and Mongolian throat-singing. The results are at once radiant and unconventionally beautiful and have been praised by the Los Angeles Times as "a thing of disarming beauty." For the Wilma's production of Eurydice, Toby is composing original vocal and instrumental music to be performed live, fully exploring the emotional depths of the play. This will make the Wilma's production the first to incorporate live musicians and original music into the play.
