A great way to support the Wilma is to become a member of our Bijoux Circle. Donors who give $1-$999 become members of our Bijoux Circle. By becoming a Bijoux member, you become the foundation that allows the Wilma to continue being one of the premier theaters on the East Coast.
This past year, The Wilma Theater has demonstrated its outstanding commitment to the community through education. An average subscription to the Wilma costs $117; however, through the student subsidy component of our Building the Audiences of Tomorrow program, students can purchase that same subscription for as little as $32 (a savings of $85). We are able to do this because people like you generously make up the difference between what we earn—income from tickets covers only 50% of our earned income— and what it costs to operate the Wilma.
Today, you have the opportunity to strengthen the Wilma’s educational programs in innumerable ways. Won’t you please give the gift of theater to a student in your community? Here are just a few examples of what your contribution can do:
$25 subsidizes a discounted rush ticket for one student
$50 provides the materials for student leaders who participate in our Wilma Student Advisory meetings
$100 subsidizes a discounted season subscription to the Wilma for one student
*At the $150 level your name is listed in the Wilmabill program*
$250 funds instruction by a Teaching Artist in our Wilmagination program. Teaching Artists visit underserved Philadelphia public schools to bring theater to students at their own educational institutions.
$500 covers one scholarship for a needy student to attend Camp Wilma
$1000 subsidizes one whole class visit to attend a Wilma Student Matinee performance
*At the $1000 level you become a Premiere Circle member with invitations to exclusive Wilma events*
$2500 sponsors the production of a Wilma Student Matinee performance
